The present difficulty is that man thinks he is the doer. But it is a mistake. It is the higher power which does everything and man is only a tool.

All things in the Universe are One in the Divine. On the lacrosse field there are 2 teams of equal number of players. The players don’t play the lacrosse game. The lacrosse game plays itself. It is only the ego that believes that it is taking some action on the world. The only thing it is taking action on is itself, by promoting its own illusion of separateness.

If you’d like, from here on forward, remember that every single thing you ‘do’ is really just the Universe working through you. In certain terms this is also called Renunciation of Actions. Doing things for the sake of doing them — the love of the thing is in the action of doing the thing — the love is not in the result. To allow the Universe to work through you is surrendering all expectation of the result of the action.

Imagine Victor has a lot of trauma in his life. Imagine he reaches a point where he can no longer cope…
